Skint to Mint - Board Game

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand and Young Enterprise Trust created a game, to teach senior college students about the risks and rewards of investment choices. 2Di4Design was tasked to come up with the name and design for the board game, this had to make the whole learning experience about investment choices be something students could relate to. Skint to Mint was the solution. The aim of the Skint to Mint game is for players to have the most valuable portfolio of assets (shares, savings, property, superannuation and cash) at the end of the game. As players move around the board, they have opportunities to invest, and make decisions about the relative risk and reward of an investment product, by looking at various factors including credit ratings. The Game was launched into a large number of schools.
