Wellington City Market - Identity

Clemenger were asked to develop a high quality food market identity in central Wellington that catered to food lovers.
Di had the lovely opportunity to make this a reality. A market of ‘charm’ was identified as being an area that no one else owned in this category space, and one Wellington could deliver on and own, as it was these qualities that felt were more authentic to the Wellington culture and providores who would sell their food within the market. A classic quality old school charming identity was designed, slightly retro, not pretentious and honest in flavour. Concepts for brand communications were also presented that expressed these values and brought another dimension to the brand alive to the audience.
